Atlanta, GA –   Files obtained from inside the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), a leading organization of the gender transition industry, expose blatantly irresponsible acts and failure to meet basic standards of evidence-based medicine. A report of the files, published by Environmental Progress, detail these findings and confirm concerns that have been diligently documented by the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) and other organizations for years.

The WPATH Files show how far medical experiments in the gender industry have gone. The full WPATH report may be read here and excerpts may be read here.

Dr. Michael Artigues, President of ACPeds, released the following statement in response to the report on WPATH:

“ACPeds has been on the front lines sounding the alarm bells on the unfettered transgender industry. As suspected, children are being gravely injured. This is tantamount to abuse and it must be stopped immediately.”

Dr. Quentin Van Meter, Past President of ACPeds and Board Certified Pediatric Endocrinologist, stated:

“We must protect children from the horrific practices of the gender industry and help them to heal from the underlying trauma that often leads to gender dysphoria.”

ACPeds recently published a position statement reviewing over 60 studies on mental health in adolescents with gender dysphoria and concluded that social transition, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones have no demonstrable, long-term benefit on psychosocial well-being of adolescents with gender dysphoria.

The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) is a national medical association of licensed physicians and healthcare professionals who specialize in the care of infants, children, and adolescents. It was founded by a group of concerned physicians who saw the need for a pediatric organization that would not be influenced by the politically driven pronouncements of the day. The mission of the ACPeds is to enable all children to reach their optimal physical and emotional health and well-being. The ACPeds is committed to fulfilling its mission by producing sound policy, based upon the best available research, to assist parents and to influence society in the endeavor of childrearing.
