Our Positions

Our mission is to enable all children to reach their optimal physical and emotional health and well-being. To this end, ACPeds produces position statements on matters unique to the child and the family. Our goal is that these statements be based upon the best available research, and unencumbered by political or societal opinion. This information will assist parents, policymakers, legislators and society in advocating for that which is best for children, adolescents and their families.

Perspectives presents both scientific research articles and opinionated commentaries investigating topics related to the well-being of children. These works are offered to stimulate the reader’s interest in matters that affect children, the family, and the society in which they live. While these articles have been reviewed by the Board, they do not necessarily represent official policy or position of ACPeds.

ACPeds will occasionally partner with like-minded organizations to create Amicus Briefs addressing issues related to the health and well-being of children and their families.
