ACPeds Applauds Prospect of Overturning Roe; Urges SCOTUS to Finalize Decision

Washington, D.C.—Recently, the news outlet, Politico, reported that a leaked draft majority opinion of the U.S. Supreme Court shows that it is set to overturn Roe v. Wade. Chief Justice Roberts confirmed that the document is authentic. However, at this time, no official opinion has been released.

 Dr. Quentin Van Meter, President of the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds), released the following statement:

 “The American College of Pediatricians believes that human life begins at fertilization and we stand for the sanctity and dignity of all members of the human family, including preborn babies. We are elated by the prospect of Roe v. Wade being overturned and urge the Supreme Court to finalize a decision immediately. Every day that passes is another day that babies are killed by abortion.”
