More About Joining ACPeds

Thank you for your interest in the American College of Pediatricians.

Have you felt a sense of frustration lately that your current professional medical association is investing your annual dues to promote social agendas that do not reflect your personal values and convictions? Have you felt that recent policy statements have emanated more from political persuasion than from evidence-based science?

If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, please read on.

We would like to introduce you to an organization of fellow pediatricians who are responding to this dilemma. The American College of Pediatricians was created by doctors who were concerned that social consensus was driving the recommendations of many medical organizations, rather than sound research and time-honored standards. Of particular concern was the downplaying of the importance of the two-parent, mother-father, family unit in the healthy development of the child, and the increasing disregard for the intrinsic value of human life, from conception to natural death.

Since its first meeting in Boston in 2001, the ACPeds has matured into a 501(c)3 educational organization with membership from 47 states in the US. The Board of Directors has ambitious plans for the ACPeds. Meeting twice a year, the Board has built an organizational infrastructure and created a set of Core Values from which it has striven to meet its Mission, Vision and Values Pledge. The ACPeds has issued a number of Position Statements on various topics including:

  • Abstinence Education

  • Bullying

  • Children, Adolescents, and the Media

  • Discipline of Children

  • Freedom of Conscience

  • Gender Dysphoria and Transgenderism

  • Homosexual Parenting

  • Marriage and the Family

  • The “Morning After Pill”

  • Parental Notification

  • Termination of Pregnancy

  • When Human Life Begins

As a national association of pediatricians, the ACPeds endeavors to be a trustworthy resource to parents, healthcare professionals, and policymakers for information on the optimal care of infants, children, and adolescents. In order to fulfill its mission the ACPeds needs membership support and resources.

Are you interested in joining the ACPeds? Membership does not require that you surrender membership in other pediatric professional organizations. We are looking for members with a passion for children and families, and a willingness to work for their good. Our standards are high and our dues very reasonable. Join us today! Apply online now or download the Membership Application here.
