Salwa Gendi, MD

Dr. Salwa Morcos Gendi is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and specializes in pediatric cardiology. She graduated from Cairo University School of Medicine. She completed a Med-Peds residency at Waynes University Michigan. As a resident she earned an award for community service of the pediatric age group. Her pediatric cardiology fellowship was in Rush University Chicago. She was trained in fetal echocardiography. Dr. Gendi served several years as Assistant professor at the University of Mississippi and associate professor at West Virginia University. She helped establishing the adult with congenital heart disease program where she served as program director. During this time, she developed care of pregnant women with congenital heart disease.
Dr. Gendi is a Fellow of the American College of Pediatricians. She is also member of the American Society of Echocardiography, as well as MRI and SCCT societies. Dr. Gendi has authored numerous articles on pediatric cardiology and fetal cardiology.
She has presented lectures on pregnancy with congenital heart disease. She has voluntarily given lectures on body anatomy and sexuality to adolescents in different schools and churches.
