David Mortimer’s 32-year fundraising career portfolio totals $85.3 million in direct fundraising awards, with six-figure major gifts, corporate and multimillion awards. Of that time, he spent 19 years with a 15-hospital nonprofit Catholic health system, where he served for 14 years as philanthropy director, and led a 2023 portfolio of $46.1 million (21 active grants) for 16 hospitals in two states serving 13,000 employees and 2,300  physicians. 

David earned his masters of divinity (MDiv) in 2004 and is credentialed as a GPC and CFRE. He presented academic papers, served as a pastor, adjunct seminary professor at Chicago’s North Park Theological Seminary, and published academic articles in the National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly, Ethics & Medicine: An International Journal of Bioethics, The Human Life Review, Touchstone and others. David and his wife of 33 years are both commissioned as Colson Fellows. David is the first non-clinician board member of the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds), and began his service in January 2025.
